7-Step Element Building Method™

At Element Building Projects we believe that our building process should be an easy-to-follow, transparent and enjoyable journey so that you know exactly what to expect and when. With our ongoing support and guidance, building your home will be a free flowing 7-Step process.

Step 1 – Understanding Your Requirements

It all begins with understanding your unique requirements during a personalised face-to-face consultation. 

Tell us what you want and need in your new home and we’ll work with you to narrow down your key requirements to suit your lifestyle and budget.  We’ll offer you advice about the benefits of energy efficient design and how incorporating different components can help you achieve your desired comfort of living, increase your energy efficiency rating (EER) and reduce your household running costs.

Our team will answer your questions and explain in detail what you can expect from your building journey with us.

Step 2 – Building and Design Proposal and Consultation

Let’s bring your vision to life! 

Whether you are customising one of our energy efficient home designs or custom designing your own unique home from scratch, we’ll work with you to get all the details just right. 

You’ll receive a customised proposal for a site survey (if required) and draft plans. Upon acceptance of our proposal, we’ll arrange all aspects of your site survey and you’ll have the opportunity to share your ideas and challenges with us. 

Our specialised Building and Design Team will take a thorough brief and offer suggestions to suit your site, design and budget requirements. Once you’ve finalised any final tweaks to your draft floorplan, elevations, inclusions and achieved your desired EER, final plans will be prepared for you.

Step 3 – Building Quotation and Master Builders Association (MBA) Contract

Now your design is finalised, we can provide you with a complete building quotation incorporating every detail of your design and inclusions.

Upon acceptance of our building quotation, a complete MBA contract will then be prepared for you. Your fixed price contract will specify the progress payment schedule, all inclusions and the expected completion date of your build.

Step 4 – Pre-Construction

While we progress your Development Approval (DA) and Building Approval (BA) process for you, we’ll introduce you to our sophisticated and easy to use Online Client Management System so you can track your build 24/7.

You’ll also receive access to our unique Element Building Guide including action items, handy tips and information you need to know. 

Once building approvals and design layouts are complete, we’ll schedule a Pre-Construction Consultation to ensure we’re all on the same page, answer any final questions and introduce you to our dedicated Construction Team.

Step 5 – Construction

Let’s start building your new home! 

Through our Online Client Management System and ongoing communication with our team, you’ll receive regular progress updates during your building journey with us. 

Regular site visits will also occur during the various stages of construction until practical completion.

Step 6 – Wait! We’re not done yet

We can’t wait to handover your keys and welcome you to your new home! 

Just before we do, we’ll apply for Certificate of Occupancy on your behalf and work with you to ensure this is finalised along with your final progress payment.  We’ll also meet you onsite to go through any finishing touches.  Now your move in date can be confirmed.

Step 7 - 90 – Day Maintenance Period

  

Wait, we’re not done yet. 

We’ll stay in contact with you throughout the 90-day defect period to finalise any minor maintenance issues so you can enjoy your brand new home.
