Andrew and I chose Element Building for a number of reasons, one being that they were very flexible in the beginning and really understood what we wanted in our home. We came to Dennis with our basic design ideas, our block and our budget and he custom designed the house to fit everything that we wanted.
Throughout the building process we were in regular contact with Dennis and his team and they really held our hands through the whole process.
The build time was so quick, we never believed it was going to be done in that time frame. We never had any budget blowouts because of the fixed price contract, but Dennis let us upgrade some of our inclusions along the way and let us know exactly how much it was going to cost.
The day we moved in we couldn’t believe it was all finished. It was exactly 12 months since the first enquiry with Dennis to the moving truck pulling in our driveway and we couldn’t be happier. We feel like we’re living in a fancy hotel most of the time and still find it surreal after a couple of months that we got our dream house, in our budget, and we are even the first residents of our street.
I’ve already recommend Element to a couple of friends who are interested in building. They love our house and everything about it and I have no problems telling them who to call.

We are difficult clients. We’re both architects – we designed our home exactly the way we wanted, and there would be no compromise. Element Projects took us on board, with confidence and savvy, and more than met our expectations. We were always kept in the loop about site progress, from the time we signed our contract, right up to project handover. All the trades were well-coordinated, and Dennis was always available if we needed to “go over” something again. And again. Also, the inclusions list is great, and our home feels like a million bucks! The finishes are sharp and clean, and when those unlikely little details that we hadn’t considered popped up, they were always skilfully taken care of. Needless to say, all of the above was delivered well within the agreed time. Just like they said they would.
